Electric Water-Gas Systems

Services is the general description of all power lines and fixtures required in our Lab Benches and making them usable. Services in general;

  • Electrical Systems
  • Sink and Water Systems
  • Gas Systems
  • Emergency Eye and Height Showers

It has been gathered under three main headings, and it is divided into sections within itself. The physical structure of our benches and Energy Units connected to the benches are designed in such a way as to distribute these services to the benches in the safest way, to assemble and connect the fixtures, and to be easily intervened when necessary.

Services – Electrical Systems – Luminaires

Electrical Systems It is one of the most important services of laboratories. According to the features of the device to be used in your workbenches and the analyzes to be made, our alternatives for electrical fixtures are quite wide. The most important point to be considered is the selection of luminaires with the most appropriate protection standards according to the physical conditions of the laboratories.

In general, luminaries with IP – 44 or IP 55 protection standards are used, as well as Ex-Proof luminaries when necessary. According to the protection class, in-bench cabling is also made in these standards. Therefore, the main electrical installation of the laboratories should be made in accordance with these standards.

Services – Water Systems

Water Systems is also one of the most important services of Laboratories. Water systems to be used in laboratories;

• Sinks and Cup Sinks
• Water Fixtures
• Drying Hangers
• Boilers
• Emergency Eye and Height Showers
• Installation and Connections

consists of We have Sink and armature options in different types and features according to the characteristics of your laboratories.

Sinks and Cup Sinks vary according to the counter surface alternatives to be used in laboratories. Accordingly, our Sink and Cup Sink alternatives are below.

• Polypropylen
• Stoneware
• Epoxy Resin
• Stainless steel

Polypropylene Sink and Cup Sinks are generally used in conjunction with countertop surfaces such as Trespa, Compact, Corian etc. Due to its physical structure, it does not form stains thanks to its excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and bases. Beyond its stylish design, it is also highly resistant to impacts and scratches. The waste water drain siphons of the sinks are also Polypropylene and are produced as a set. It has an upper discharge system against water overflows, as well as a chain drain plug.

They are generally used in Wet Chemistry Laboratories and School Laboratories, as well as in many areas of the industry.

Sinks are used for washing purposes, Cup Sinks are generally used as a draining device in the parts where water-cooled devices are located or as an inlet reservoir in the circulating water system. In this way, wastewater can be collected in a tank, filtered and used as cooling water again. They are generally used in Wet Chemistry Laboratories and School Laboratories, as well as in many areas of the industry.

Emergency Eye and Height Showers

If we are exposed to chemical liquids and acid vapors that we use in laboratories, it should be washed with plenty of water as the first emergency procedure. To perform this operation, we have three types of emergency wash showers, which are Eye shower, Height shower and Eye and Height shower together.

Emergency Eye washes have different models in themselves. The most used types are shown below. Generally:

  • Bench Mounted Double and bowl type
  • Bench Mounted Single Type
  • Bench Mounted Dual Type
  • Wall Mounted Single type

are the most used models. Apart from this, there are also floor-mounted types. In bowl types, washing takes place as soon as the emergency push button is pressed. Other types have spirals and when we grasp the shower, the button opens and washing takes place again.

Emergency Height showers also have different models within themselves. The most used types are shown below. Generally

  • Wall Mounted Single type
  • Wall Mounted Over Door Type
  • Floor Mounted Type Floor Mounted,

are the most used models. It is hung with a chain next to the working mechanism of the tall showers. When the button is pulled, the washing process takes place.

Eye wash unit in the types with a height and eye shower together is bowl type and works with a push button.

Gas Systems – Gas Fixtures

Gas Systems According to the gas types to be used in laboratories:
  • Flammable and Flammable Gas Taps
  • Technical Gas Taps
  • Pressure Reducing Regulators
  • manifolds

found in five main groups. Gas taps in themselves:

  • Mounted bench
  • Mounted panel
  • Assembled Fume Hood

They are manufactured in three types. They are selected and assembled according to the features of the benches to be installed. The body of all gas taps is made of brass metal and epoxy painted. The degree of purity is 5.0.

Above this, the inside of the taps to be used for pure gases is stainless steel and the purity level is between 5.5 and 6.0. The in-bench installations and connection pipes of the taps to be used for gases of 5.0 purity are copper, and the fittings are brass. For 5.5 and 6.0 purity gases, in-bench installation and connection pipes and fittings are 316L Stainless steel.

Genel olarak kullanılan modeller yan kısımdaki resimlerden görülebilir. Bunların dışında bir çok değişik tip ve kullanım özelliğine haiz musluklar vardır. . Standart Renk kodları EN 13792 normlarındadır.

Laboratory Gas Taps

There are special color labels for which gas it is used according to the area and type of use. These colors are the same all over the world and a standard has been established.

These color labels must be on the relevant faucet. The Laboratory Water Taps we use are according to European norms and are defined by the EN 13792 Standard number.

According to this standard, possible water types and label colors to be used in laboratories are listed below.

Regulator and Manifolds

Pressure Reducing Regulators are used in order to reduce the pressure and adjust it when necessary, especially in Technical Gases used depending on the devices. Gases supplied to the installation at a pressure of 10 bar and above from high-pressure cylinders allow pressure adjustment between 1.5 and 8 bar, thanks to these Regulators.

It can be used independently on the benches, or it can be built as a Regional Service Unit in a suitable part of the laboratory and gases can be distributed to the benches at low pressure. It is 316L Stainless steel. It can be used for all normal and pure gases. With the gas shut-off valve at the entrance of the regulator, we can cut off all the gas when necessary.

Gas cylinders are the main source of Combustible and Technical gases we need. Gas cylinders are generally deployed in a cage system to be established in a safe area outside our laboratory or in tube cabinets in the laboratory area according to the characteristics of the gases.

The gas pressure at the tube outlet is 230 bar. This pressure is optionally given to the installation by reducing up to 10 bar with Single, 2 x 1 Manual or 2 x 1 Automatic Manifolds. Spare tubes can be connected to 2 x 1 Manifolds. The automatic ones activate the spare tube itself when the tube runs out. There should also be an Alarm box for this.

Especially in combustible and combustible gas lines, Flame arrester is attached to the manifold outlets and the dangers that may occur in possible vacuuming are prevented. Copper and Stainless gas piping are made with locked fitting connection, welded or seam welding, which we call Orbital Welding.

Gas Systems – Installations

Two types of piping are made according to the characteristics of the laboratories. Medical Copper Pipe in areas where pure gases are used

available. At the same time, copper pipes are used in normal water installations inside the counter. Copper piping can be done with Oxygen Welding or it can be made without welding by using fully Locked System Swagelok type Brass Fittings.

316L Stainless Steel pipes are used for pure gases that will be required especially for the devices used in Instrumental Laboratories. Welding in copper pipes is done with the Orbital Welding system. Apart from that, it can be made without welding by using completely Locked System Swagelok type Stainless Fittings.

In-Bench Gas Lines are generally Locked type and are offered with Benches. Pipe diameters used in counter-top installations vary between 1/4” and 3/8”. General Gas Lines outside the counter are also offered.

Depending on the pipe distance, a welded or locked system can be made. The pipe diameters used can be made as 1/2” or 3/8. Pipe diameters can be increased or decreased according to the distance. After the installations are completed, they are tested with nitrogen at 10 bar pressure. In this way, both the leakage test of our installation is carried out and the interior is washed with nitrogen.
